Title:Quality Manager - Industrial Manufacturer
Location: Lynchburg, VA
Salary:$90,000 - $100,000 + Bonus
Job Type:Direct hire, Full-time

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to lead and implement systems, policies, and programs that align with company quality objectives. This role involves overseeing plant quality assurance operations, ensuring compliance with ISO 9000 and other applicable standards, and enhancing product quality and manufacturing processes. You will also conduct quality training and audits, identifying areas of improvement to drive success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor?s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline with 3-5 years of quality experience OR 8-12 years of quality experience without a degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), internet tools, and email platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Address product quality, warranty, and related concerns with swift and effective solutions.
  • Manage product quality systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9000 and engineering standards.
  • Lead product and process improvement initiatives utilizing lean methodologies.
  • Oversee internal quality audits, delivering actionable feedback to teams on identified defects.
  • Coordinate warranty support activities, including manufacturing of parts or warranty work at customer sites.
  • Administer warranty tracking processes and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Handle Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes efficiently.
  • Develop and manage departmental policies, procedures, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Represent the organization in resolving external customer quality issues.
  • Address supplier quality concerns, including conducting quality surveys, reporting, and certification processes.
  • Maintain ISO certification and manage the company?s calibration program.
  • Act as the primary plant liaison with regulatory agencies (e.g., UL, CSA) for compliance on released products.
