QUALITY OFFICER - AGED & COMMUNITY CARE

Temporary Full Time until September 2026 | Wangaratta, VIC | $88,121 per annum + super
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Officer to join our team and strengthen staff and organisational capability to meet current and emerging standards in Aged Care. You’ll be part of a collaborative and values-driven team, supporting continuous improvement across aged and community care services delivered by Council. This role ensures compliance with relevant legislation, standards and guidelines — including the Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Quality Standards — while promoting a culture of safety, quality and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Develop policies and procedures aligned with the Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Coordinate preparation for internal and external audits, including OHS and accreditation processes
  • Identify opportunities for quality assurance and continuous improvement across aged and community services
  • Chair the Aged & Community Care Quality Management Committee and manage meeting schedules, agendas and minutes
  • Maintain the Continuous Improvement Register, Client Risk Register and contribute to the RCOW Risk Register
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance to implement system changes and new financial processes
  • Support staff and management with quality systems, compliance documentation and service delivery improvements
