MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality management within durable goods manufacturing.
  • Proven expertise in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 standards and quality system regulations.
  • Experience with supplier quality management and First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent.
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with advanced root-cause analysis tools such as 8D or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Previous leadership experience managing quality teams in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of durable goods industry-specific regulatory requirements and standards.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Quality Production Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all manufacturing processes meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements within the durable goods industry. This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation and continuous improvement of quality systems, including compliance with ISO 13485 standards, to guarantee product reliability and customer satisfaction. The manager will lead cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues through root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions. They will also manage supplier quality performance and conduct first article inspections to validate new or modified products before full-scale production. Ultimately, this role ensures that production outputs consistently meet or exceed both internal and external quality expectations, supporting the company’s reputation and operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with ISO 13485 and other relevant standards.
  • Lead and coordinate Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues promptly.
  • Manage supplier quality assurance processes, including supplier audits and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee First Article Inspection (FAI) processes to validate new product introductions and changes.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards are met.
  • Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to senior management to support data-driven decision making.
  • Train and mentor quality assurance staff to enhance team capabilities and maintain high-quality standards.
