Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Quality Production to join the Interior Responsibility Center located in North Charleston, SC on 1st shift.
A successful hire in this position will be the team lead for both Material Review Board Designee (MRBD) and Quality Assurance Investigator (QAI) functions. This team supports IRCSC by performing collective analysis on nonconformance records to identify systemic issues, contain, and obtain corrective action within our production system.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management System (QMS)
  • 5+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience as Quality Inspector
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment
  • Experience working with CMES and Velocity
  • 3+ years of using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
Responsibilities
  • Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
  • Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes.
  • Guides the review of production plans.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  • Guides or aids in the root cause analysis of nonconformance. Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field.
  • Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives.
  • Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System. Provides oversight of the corrective/preventive action plans to assure timely completion.
  • Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes.
  • Provides direction for validation of corrective action to assure causes of nonconformance has been eliminated.
  • Monitors the groups’ performance of the verification activity.
  • Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution.
  • Works under minimal direction and is responsible for training and mentoring lower level technicians.
