Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Experienced Quality Production Specialist – Material Review/Investigation (level 3) to join our Fabrication Core Quality team in Puyallup, Washington.
This position supports the Notification of Escapement process across BCA Fabrication Division working closely with Manufacturing Business Units, Engineering, Supplier Quality and Airplane Programs. The role performs detailed inquiry, analysis, and communication of information to resolve Quality issues throughout the value stream. Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
  • Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes
  • Guides the review of production plans
  • Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems
  • Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of nonconformance
  • Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field
  • Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives
  • Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System
  • Provides oversight of the corrective/preventive action plans to assure timely completion
  • Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes
  • Provides direction for validation of corrective action to assure causes of nonconformance has been eliminated
  • Monitors the groups’ performance of the verification activity
  • Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution
  • Works under minimal direction and is responsible for training and mentoring lower level technicians

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience working with Complex Engineering and/or Manufacturing Processes
  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 3+ years of experience working with Quality job role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience with systematic problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality, Production Engineering or Manufacturing role
  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership
