Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Associate or Experienced Quality Production Specialists (Level 2 or 3) to join Boeing Portland Quality (Material Review/Investigation) team located in Portland, Oregon.
The Quality Production Specialist develops and administers the quality system that ensures and manages the integrity of company products and services. Individual will perform material review board approval and dispositioning responsibilities.
In this role, candidate will be expected to: collaborate and communicate with internal stakeholders, including program executives, track and manage investigations and complete Root Cause Corrective Actions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action, Root Cause Corrective Actions
  • 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • 1+ years of experience collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data
  • 1+ years of using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • 1+ years of experience developing presentations for leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
  • Experience in a team environment
  • Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience

EXPERIENCE (LEVEL 3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years’ related work experience, 5 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Responsibilities
  • Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
  • Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes
  • Guides the review of production plans
  • Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems
  • Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of nonconformance
  • Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field
  • Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives
  • Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System
  • Provides oversight of the corrective/preventive action plans to assure timely completion
  • Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes
  • Provides direction for validation of corrective action to assure causes of nonconformance has been eliminate
  • Monitors the groups’ performance of the verification activity
  • Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution
  • Works under minimal direction and is responsible for training and mentoring lower-level technicians
