The Quality Program Manager oversees MEI’s quality program across the project lifecycle including design review, construction oversight, quality assurance and control, commissioning, closeout and continuous improvement of technical standards and work practices. This role provides leadership and accountability across three essential functions: Construction Management, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Commissioning/Project Closeout. Essentially, the Quality Program Manager ensures that all projects in Delivery have proper oversight and are inspected, commissioned and closed out safely, efficiently and in compliance all applicable codes and standards. Join our team to help drive the clean energy transition by delivering high-impact renewable energy projects across the nation. What You’ll Be Doing Construction Management Oversight Oversee MEI’s Construction Managers and ensure projects have appropriate site supervision. Support Project Managers in resolving contractor performance issues and execution risks. Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QAQC) Leadership Lead QAQC program and supervise QAQC Managers. Ensure projects are inspected with appropriate rigor at defined milestones to ensure installation quality, compliance, and adherence to safety standards. Ensure generation of timely, clear, detailed, and actionable punchlists for immediate action. Establish and maintain QAQC procedures, inspection checklists, and reporting formats. Perform risk-based reviews of engineering drawings, material specifications and submittals to validate conformance to MEI’s Spec and applicable codes and standards. Confirm that quality issues are identified early and tracked to resolution. Commissioning & Project Closeout Oversight Supervise commissioning and closeout activities across all projects. Ensure projects are commissioned efficiently and pursuant to contractual and technical requirements. Drive timely resolution of punchlist items following permission to operate. Ensure compilation of complete and accurate closeout documentation and smooth handoff to Asset Management. Escalate and resolve closeout delays that threaten asset performance or financial outcomes. Portfolio Oversight, Data & Continuous Improvement Ensure proper quality coverage across the entire construction portfolio. Aggregate QAQC data to identify trends, systemic issues, and improvement opportunities. Develop dashboards and reports that highlight risks, trends and opportunities. Provide regular portfolio-level reporting for executive leadership. Work with MEI development, engineering, and procurement to prevent repeat quality issues. Participate in making regular updates to MEI’s Specifications, engineering standards, construction and QAQC best practices, and closeout work. Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination Mentor and develop all direct reports. Coordinate closely with development, engineering, procurement, project managers, and asset managers to prevent repeat quality issues. Establish clear expectations, accountability, and communication across teams. Act as MEI’s authority on construction quality and integrity.
