Job Summary: Supervise and support the Quality Technicians.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering preferred
  • An Associate’s degree in a technical related field or equivalent on the job experience

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be fluent in speaking and writing English
  • 2-5 years Supervisor experience
  • Familiarity with injection molding in a fast faced IATF16949 certified manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Communication skills – ability to interact with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to work independently and proactively
  • Pay close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Work well as a team player
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Proficient in math disciplines
  • Behave in a positive manner that enhances the success of the company

PHYSICAL/ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to lift boxes up to 20 pounds
  • Able to work sitting or standing for extended periods of time

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that work instructions are presented in a language that is understood by personnel performing said duties. The work instructions are accessible, legible, and include rules for operational safety.
  • Supervise direct reports over 3 shifts including training assessment, conducting performance reviews, resolving issues
  • Act as mentor and trainer for Inspectors
  • Read and interpret molded part blueprints
  • Interact effectively with Management, Engineering and Production personnel
  • Responsible for Non-conforming Material Report system including control via computerized inventory system, overseeing disposition, and following through to closure
  • Responsible for maintaining inspection records
  • Create and modify Quality Inspection Plans
  • Assist QA Manager & Engineers with monthly reports and customer complaint investigation
  • Assure inspection requirements are understood and coordinated between shifts by Inspection personnel
  • Conduct Internal Audits as part of the Internal Audit Team
  • Implement countermeasure and investigate problems in a team atmosphere
