All delivered with a 100% performance test passage rate.   Summary Objective The Quality Receiving Inspection Lead is responsible for overseeing all incoming material inspections to ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory codes. This role leads the implementation of AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) sampling plans, drives key performance indicator (KPI) tracking, and spearheads root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier or material quality issues. The Lead partners closely with the Director of Quality to develop, refine, and implement robust inspection protocols and continuous improvement strategies that enhance overall supplier quality performance.   Essential Functions * Lead Incoming Inspections: Oversee and perform inspections on incoming materials, components, and assemblies using AQL standards to ensure conformity to drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements. * AQL & Sampling Plan Management: Develop and maintain AQL-based inspection procedures and acceptance criteria. Determine appropriate sampling levels and ensure consistency across inspection activities. * Inspection Protocol Development: Collaborate with the Director of Quality to establish standardized inspection protocols, documentation practices, and acceptance thresholds aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and customer expectations. * KPI Tracking & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on quality performance metrics, including defect rates, supplier quality performance, rework trends, and inspection throughput. Recommend corrective and preventive actions based on data trends. * Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving: Lead structured problem-solving sessions (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, or 8D) to address material or process nonconformances. Ensure timely and effective closure of corrective actions. * Supplier Quality Collaboration: Partner with the supply chain and procurement teams to address recurring supplier issues, verify corrective actions, and support supplier development initiatives. * Documentation & Traceability: Ensure all inspection data, NCRs, and quality records are accurately documented, traceable, and maintained per company procedures and ISO standards. * Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve inspection efficiency, reduce nonconformance rates, and enhance product quality through process optimization and training. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.    Work Environment Primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with occasional exposure to construction sites, moving mechanical equipment, and varying environmental conditions Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.   Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May require occasional weekend work based on production or inspection schedules.   Travel Anticipated up to 15% travel for this position. Some occasional local day travel may also be necessary.
