POSITION SUMMARY

Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has an exciting new opportunity for a Quality Representative. The purpose of this position is to ensure supplier approvals & maintenance of supplier records. The successful incumbent will also liaison with suppliers in regard to quality related topics on supplier products and/or services.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant College/Engineering Diploma or equivalent Aerospace Quality experience.
  • Preferably 2 or more years of experience in aerospace environment.
  • Solid technical background. Can interpret aerospace drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledgeable in inspection techniques and aerospace quality requirements.
  • Good understanding of Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations.
  • Knowledge of statistical quality data analysis.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of machining and sheet metal fabrication processes as well as raw material manufacturing processes and special processes.
  • Able to evaluate supplier processes and quality procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate quality related issues and actions with suppliers and customers.
  • Evaluate supplier processes and inspection methods against applicable drawings, specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist and support suppliers with Source Substantiation Approvals, FAIR, CofC, and applicable inspection/test reports and provide guidance.
  • Manage supplier DR’s and RCCA investigations.
  • Review and approve supplier purchase orders and release supplier parts.
  • Evaluate, audit suppliers and maintain approved supplier database.
  • Review and manage customer requests.
  • Provide support to internal departments.
  • Review and analyze quality data, prepare QA reports, and maintain records.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and provide quality training.
  • Other duties as assigned
