JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Responsibility for the quality of a product line(s) within the PQE function driving product, process and quality improvements. Overseeing and providing technical guidance to internal customer, team members and stakeholders. Direct quality support to dedicated product line with objective to improve FTY and reduce losses. Interface with customer where required and support all quality and continuous improvement activity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in quality, supply chain or manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in QC Engineering, Quality System Planning and Quality Improvement methods
  • Working knowledge of EASA/CAA Part 21G and Part145 approvals
  • Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements
  • Certified Auditing skills
  • Six Sigma trained or Green Belt certification preferred but must demonstrate and understanding of Lean principles

Responsibilities
  • Support site in Warner Robins, GA. Ownership of quality control and concessions at Robins Air Force Base PPP Depot operations. Travel 25%.
  • Ownership of root cause identification corrective actions reducing CoPQ
  • Process and product audits and First Article Inspection for assigned product line
  • Supporting daily quality and operations reporting rhythm through standard business meetings
  • Support the implementation of policies and procedures as established in Dowty QMS Operational Procedures
  • Participate in material defect reports to facilitate proper and timely resolution
  • Support internal and external audits and assure that findings are addressed with effective corrective actions
  • Confirm the proper documentation, investigation, and reporting of any damaged customer property at receiving
  • Implement inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by Dowty Propellers in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Verify that unserviceable and scrapped parts are processed in accordance with established procedures
  • Identification of opportunities for improvement projects
  • Support customer communication on appointed product line
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reports to shop leaders
  • Provide training on production quality and inspection procedures
