Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We meet people in their homes and communities and help connect them to their needed resources. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services, working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. Our services are intended to be collaborative and personalized for the individual.
The Quality Specialist plays a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives across the organization. This individual will work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and administrative staff to monitor and improve performance metrics, ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory bodies (e.g., CARF, Medicaid/Medicare), and promote a culture of continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in public health, Health Administration, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Social Work, or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare or behavioral health quality improvement setting is required.
  • Experience with quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA) is required.
  • Experience using electronic health records (EHRs) and quality reporting tools is required.
  • Experience with regulatory and accreditation requirements (CARF, Medicaid, Medicare, HIPAA, etc.) is required.
  • 2 years of experience in data analysis platforms required.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams is required.
  • Must be able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment is required.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health service delivery systems and payers is preferred.
  • A certificate in healthcare quality (e.g., CPHQ, Lean Six Sigma) is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyze, and report data related to quality indicators, outcome measures, and client satisfaction surveys.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits, including documentation review, chart audits, and regulatory surveys.
  • Support compliance with accreditation and licensing standards (e.g., CARF, state Medicaid agency, MCOs, etc.).
  • Support quality improvement projects, including Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles and root cause analyses.
  • Implement quality improvement efforts in the OhioRISE program, ensuring compliance with policies and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor and track corrective action plans (CAPs) and follow up on identified areas of improvement.
  • Assist in developing and updating quality-related policies, procedures, training materials, and documentation tools.
  • Participate in and help coordinate quality committee meetings, including agenda preparation, minutes, and follow-up activities.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations for internal reporting to track progress on quality and compliance benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation and service delivery meet payer and regulatory requirements.
