Description
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the verification of product to requirements/processes, leading the inspection team, quality training, inspection technology specification/selection, problem investigation, discrepant material review, and disposition/recovery. Develop, implement, and monitor all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) Manage a team of hourly employees in the quality function including directing work and managing performance. Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements. Determine, develop, and monitor inspection and verification techniques to meet design requirements, including new product releases for prototype and production products. Coordinate training on MSA, gage selection and use, GD&T, and special inspection techniques (e.g. flatness measurement). Monitor and create action plans to meet key business metrics including Productivity, On-Time Delivery, First Pass Yield, and Cycle Time/Backlog. Develop methods to eliminate quality problems and improve manufacturing process through collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain Management, and suppliers. Work with internal and external customers to interpret or reach agreement on quality procedures and acceptability of products. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and the implementation of Lean activities to eliminate waste in key processes. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution Minimum four (4) years in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering in a manufacturing environment Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
