ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance role or sound knowledge of grain receival
  • Experience with outturn standards and grain quality testing systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills including customer relationship management skills
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, databases and systems)
  • Experience in similar lab environment, ideally grain related is highly beneficial

Responsibilities

Based at our Site in Newcastle, we are seeking a Quality Supervisor to be responsible for assisting with the management of export quality across all GrainCorp Port Terminals. This is a supervisory role responsible for terminal laboratory and sample stand staff.
You will also be responsible in ensuring that grain quality and related systems at port are operating at a satisfactory level. These systems include OHS, grain assessment standards, training and competency records, maintenance and calibration of testing equipment, site hygiene, environmental considerations and compliance with policies and procedures.
