Heritage Homecare is seeking to recruit a Quality Supervisor to join its South Dublin operations. This is a full-time role, reporting to our Quality Manager and based in Dun Laoghaire and surrounding areas.
The role has scope to work core hours of Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Salary: €30,000- €33,000. 20 days Holidays, Paid Car Parking, Paid Mileage & Statutory Sick Pay.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Obtained QQI Care Skills Level 5 qualification or higher.
Ability to work in a fast paced and busy office environment.
Above average interpersonal skills with an ability to create trust and loyalty.
An understanding of the company ethos and values while recognising and respecting the values of individuals.
Excellent listening skills and a compassionate patient demeanour.
An ability to mentor individuals, offering advice and direction that will influence and support them towards success.
Superb organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload and multitask.
Strong attention to detail and ability to use initiative and work under pressure.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Fluent English speaker.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

The successful candidate would be joining a friendly, growing team who work hard in a supportive environment based in Dun Laoghaire. The Quality Supervisor oversees the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care services. The role heavily involves the mentoring and supporting of our health care assistants, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. This is a wide-ranging role, in which the duties include working closely with the Quality Manager and dividing time between scheduled Quality Visits in clients homes and following up with all concerned parties and completing administrative tasks in the office. The role may also involve providing temporary care services to new clients; those already at home or those awaiting discharge from hospital to support and settle the service.

REPORTING DIRECTLY TO THE QUALITY MANAGER THE MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE ARE (LIST NOT EXHAUSTIVE):

Report directly to the Quality Manager
Conduct care supervision visits and risk assessments
Effectively organise and schedule Quality Assessments for all clients every quarter
Respond quickly and appropriately to any issues/complaints that arise and with support find effective resolution
During scheduled visits ensure journals are updated, care logs are in place and identify if any care plans and schedules require updates and review
Effectively enter records of any Quality Visit on One Touch
Ensure incident reports are completed as required
Complete carer competency assessments as required
Maintain positive and effective relationships with clients and others
Support with other duties by the Quality Manager that include health care assistant tasks
Provide guidance to newly allocated care team and assist with introductions and shadow visits
Candidates should have the ability to prioritise, and problem solve sometimes in stressful situations, work under their own initiative under pressure, be confident in dealing with people of all backgrounds and have excellent attention to detail. Candidates must have strong IT skills / aptitude, and a willingness and aptitude to learn new programmes quickly. Candidates must have the ability to prioritise and manage their own workload and be confident making decisions. The role involves a mix of teamwork, frequent collaboration with colleagues and managers, and ownership of time sensitive results. Candidates should possess above average communication skills, a high level of interest in people and the ability to influence and persuade others.
