REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience.

DESIRED WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Automotive Tier 1 Experience.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of quality operating systems;
  • Knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO14001;
  • Knowledge of MSA (including CalibrationGauge R&R)
  • Problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Statistical aptitude;
  • Computer and spreadsheet proficiency;
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Schedules and supervises Quality Weld Destruct and Validation ;
  • Proficient in training and performing; plasma cutting, grinding, and polishing, microscopes, weld reading software
  • Develops and trains employees;
  • Establishes clear expectations and holds employees accountable;
  • Promotes and maintains a positive team environment;
  • Communicates with all departments, keeping them informed of issues and progress;
  • Applies and maintains quality operating system requirements and standards;
  • Develops and analyses quality metrics;
  • Participates and leads continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Participates in internal and external quality audits;
  • Assists quality engineer in developing and maintaining quality standards, inspection criteria and procedures;
  • Promotes Document Control and recordkeeping

HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compliance with Occupational safety sections of Act.
  • Must report all accidents and near misses to your Supervisor
  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures.
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company.
  • Must wear all designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
