SALARY: £35,000 - £37,500 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an expanding off-site manufacturing business based in Shrewsbury. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a dedicated Quality Supervisor to lead and support the Quality Inspection Team within a dynamic and fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Quality Inspection Team to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard and within required timeframes.
- Lead and motivate the team to drive continuous improvement and conduct root cause analysis of quality issues.
- Mentor and support team members to ensure alignment with the company’s high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with Production Team Leaders to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
- Deliver training to new starters and support the induction process for new operatives when required.
- Update quality instructions and documentation; liaise on the development and use of inspection software (e.g., SnagR).
- Compile quality reports and trend analysis in conjunction with the Quality Manager.
- Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), assist in root cause investigations, and apply corrective actions.
- Ensure all quality-related documentation is accurate and faults are fully recorded.
- Participate in meetings to provide updates, feedback, and insights into new processes or methods to enhance quality outcomes.
- Provide statistical reporting on quantities checked, rejected, and other quality metrics for dashboard reporting.
- Conduct internal audits of processes and products to ensure alignment with the Business Process Manual (BPM).
- Manage the internal audit programme and carry out audits according to schedule.
- Identify opportunities for business process improvements and feed suggestions back to senior management via the Quality Manager.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, including documenting and proposing improved processes or alternative components.
- Assist in creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and liaise with the Design Team as needed.
- Promote and uphold the company’s core values, ensuring a commitment to delivering high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
- Undertake additional quality-related tasks as required, including BPM development and supporting operational efficiency initiatives.
