Job Summary:
The Quality Systems Data Analyst promotes a data aware culture throughout the organization utilizing skills to conceptualize, design, and produce visually compelling clinical and quality improvement reporting solutions (reports, dashboards, data sets, etc.) by utilizing available quality improvement systems and business intelligence software reporting tools. Utilizes data visualization techniques that bring together data from a multitude of systems within and outside the organization. Demonstrates skill in data analysis, including but not limited to, data quality, data integration, and data modeling resulting in timely, accurate, concise and actionable information. Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in discovering fundamental data within organizational systems that includes, mining, mapping, validating and querying large data sets, discovering root causes, while designing long-term solutions that leverage available data and continuously improve user insights.

Required Qualifications:

  • Require a Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, statistics, health informatics, engineering or related field. Relevant progressive professional work experience may substitute for degree on year for year basis.
  • Required three (3) years of experience with healthcare clinical and/or business and financial systems/applications, with ability to understand how the various systems interact from an enterprise perspective and possess the skill to query, extract/transform/load (ETL) required data from or to systems as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer certifications in data, computer programming, or healthcare-related fields, e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Data Professional (CDP).
  • Prefer experience with clinical and/or business intelligence software (Dimensional Insights, Tabelau, Qlik, etc.) and SQL code including: designing, coding, testing and documenting new or modified applications, programs, reports and dashboards.
  • Prefer the ability to understand and interpret customer requirements, impacts and needs from initial request through final delivery, including understanding of databases, data architecture, reporting tools and compliance.
  • Prefer broad knowledge and experience in data analysis, benchmarking, clinical analysis and report design, including development and interpretation of reports in graphical and tabular formats.
  • Prefer excellent organizational, analytical, judgment and interpersonal skills with the ability to formulate and communicate data processes, findings and recommendations to a broad audience.
  • Prefer Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work with minimal oversight and ability to ensure all tasks are completed correctly, timely and in line with established guidelines and needs.
