POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible to meet the goals and objectives of the organisation by analyzing process reports and troubleshooting problems to correct quality issues. The candidate will help manage and develop quality within our Carnew facility. Responsible along with management to oversee the execution of Quality processes, policies and programs.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Associate’s degree and or Bachelor’s degree a plus.
· Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
· A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment.
· Solid working knowledge of quality processes and related manufacturing.
· Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook.
· Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
· Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
· Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations.
· Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs, and develop solutions and/or options.
· Self-confident, self-motivated professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

· Support the QHSE Manager in ensuring the Quality Management System is being followed.
· Champion a safe working environment, ensuring that all Health & Safety requirements and procedures are adhered to.
· Act as a role model for our Core Values
· Assist in the quality culture is continuously developed and maintained throughout the site.
· Work in conjunction with Manufacturing and QHSE Management to ensure manufacturing and Quality Assurance procedures are being developed, communicated and maintained throughout the 24 hour operation
· Assist in ensuring that all quality personnel are trained to perform their respective job functions.
· Responsible for directing QC Technicians.
· Assisting the QHSE Manager to ensure that the maintenance of a robust Quality Management System capable of achieving and maintaining necessary accreditation with external bodies, including BRCGS / FSC/ KLDB and other customer specific standards.
· Ensure all requirements of accredited bodies including BRCGS / FSC / KLDB are adhered to as a routine part of the production process.
· Participate and at times lead in the establishment of quality specifications.
· Participate and at times lead all activities associated with internal and external audits.
· Support customer complaint and reject process to ensure accurate root cause analysis, timely response, and determination and implementation of corrective actions.
· Assist the QHSE Manager and corporate team in establishing a systematic approach to achieving and maintaining necessary accreditation with external organizations and customer specific standards
· Monitor site quality metrics and work with management to develop counter measures as needed.
· Work alongside manufacturing to ensure product conformance through documented process monitoring and process controls methods.
· All other duties as assigned.
