We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Technician to work on 2nd shift at our facility. The workday for this position begins at 3pm. General Statement of Responsibilities Performs general production duties in a J.I.T. manufacturing system, e.g. – Employee Involvement, Total Quality, Continuous Improvement, Housekeeping, Elimination of Waste, Communication, Coordination, etc. that meets production and customer requirements. Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Performs inspection of in-process, the final stage, domestic and imported products. · Evaluates and process non-conforming material reports. · Performs shipping audits. · Performs process capability studies and SPC data analysis and makes recommendations based on findings. · Ability to read and understand blueprints. · Evaluates and process materials returned from customers. · Ability to set up measurement equipment. · Ability to perform micro-analysis for microhardness testing and carburization/decarburization analysis. · Ability to successfully train new people. Job Requirements: · High school diploma or equivalent · Previous gauging experience · Knowledge of optical comparator · Basic knowledge of testing and measuring equipment · Previous experience with SPC · Tow motor experience Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent, and related experience. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee occasionally required to walk, reach with hand and arms. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 10-25 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 26-50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
The Quality Technician performs inspections of in-process and final products, evaluates non-conforming materials, and conducts shipping audits. They also perform process capability studies and SPC data analysis to ensure production meets customer requirements.
