The technician performs capability studies, first-piece inspections & records results, as well as assisting with ISO compliance and training. The Technician will work closely with our production employees to ensure that inbound material is correct, and that all outbound products meet quality standards. The Quality Technician participates in special projects as needed and works with other departments to ensure a quality product. Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED required, further education preferred * 1+ year of experience in manufacturing * Ability to read blueprints/drawings * Experience with calipers, micrometers and ability to read a tape measure * Ability to work well both independently and with a team * Working knowledge of both Microsoft Office and Excel * Experience with various computer systems, including ERP Systems or online quality systems * Previous experience in CNC, Laser Burning or Oxyfuel Burning preferred   Why Work for Olympic Steel: Olympic Steel offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision benefits; paid holidays and vacation; a 401(k) match; tuition reimbursement; and various opportunities to earn cash bonuses. Responsibilities
The Quality Technician conducts routine product inspections, performs capability studies, and assists with data collection and supplier claims. They also support ISO compliance and collaborate with production teams to ensure quality standards for inbound and outbound materials.
