USUI JOB POSTING JOB ID: 420 WRITE THE JOB ID ON YOUR APPLICATION FORM Quality Technician – SVP | 1st Shift: 1st Number of Positions Available: 6 Location: Sharonville Plant            Department: Quality Date Posted: 11/02/2023                   Posting Open Until:   Duties: 1. Perform all quality checks. 2. Collect the required samples for measuring, even when production starts later in the day. 1. Measure samples per check sheet requirement Make sure first piece is measured even if part is run for the first time late in the day 2. Fill out all required check sheets. 3. Input data into Plex 3. Identify and understand all defects. 4. Collect the parts in the red and yellow bins at least every 2 hours and disposition collected parts. 1. Parts collected from the red bins will be scrapped.   2. Parts collected from the yellow bins to be reworked or judged ok for production to use. 3. Parts returned to production line must be introduced to the beginning of the process. 4. Update information for parts in Plex after dispositions for scrap, location changes, etc. 5. Comply with inspection procedures, inspect thoroughly prescribed inspection check point. 6. Comply with quality checks/verify processes. 1. Answer quality calls and make quality decisions. 2. Monitor paste weights and size hourly in 4X. 3. Follow Lathe sampling procedure in 3X. 4. Check spot welding condition in 4X. 5. Check parts in FG containers hourly. 6. Monitor when manual labelling happens. 7. Verify correct labels are on parts and tote labels also match. 8. Check label verifications in the books. 9. Verify safe launch parts are taken to safe launch and not skipping to pack out. 10. Verify parts are certified when necessary. 11. Communicate with all lines that touch the part prior to your line and after your line to ensure containment. 12. Communicate with the lab to ensure shorter down times on the lines. 13. Train on CCCPs and Quality Alerts for your area. 14. Help set up sorts in your area. 7. Stop, Call, Wait for QC lead, QC supervisor, QA engineer, QA manager when process is producing excessive rejects.  8. Safety: 1. Wear required safety equipment at all times. 2. Report any injury, complete accident report, and submit to Human Resources when injury occurs in the plant. 9. Uniforms and personal property: 1. You are provided 3 tee shirts. These are part of your uniform that must be worn daily. 2. 4X and 5X uniform must be worn properly in the clean room. 3. All personal items must be kept in your locker or automobile. 4. Headphones are prohibited in the work area. 5. Food and drink are to be left in break area and not in lockers. 10. Promote and maintain 4S:  Maintain and manage 4S conditions of the responsible area.    11. You must comply with the guidelines of the point system. 12. Other duties as assigned by management. 13.   Qualifications: 14. HS Diploma or GED 15. Ability to use various measurement gages and other equipment to perform measurements 16. Basic Math knowledge 17. Must have good communication skills and English language skills to communicate with Quality supervisor, Quality engineer and Quality manager. 18. Company Oriented 19. Reliable and have excellent attendance. 20. Able to deal with STRESS and have a positive attitude. 21. Ability to learn PLEX. 22. Ability to learn computer software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Responsibilities
The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality checks, measuring samples, and documenting data in the Plex system. They must also monitor production lines, manage defective parts, and communicate quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
