Description
The Quality Technician is responsible for managing product returns across multiple product lines within the warehouse. This role also involves supporting quality assurance and inventory management tasks as assigned by management. In this function you will: Unpack returned merchandise, inspect package condition and assess paperwork sent in with return instructions for proper return procedures. Re-package, Put-away, or scrap existing non-conforming material that has been dispositioned Inspect returned merchandise, checking for quality and condition of product to determine return category. Distribute returned product to their proper location considering all factors including the value of the product, its condition, type of return and specified disposition. Maintain and log the necessary return data in Excel for visibility and root cause analysis. Identify and report critical distribution issues to the team lead/supervisor. Collaborate with customer service, inbound, and outbound departments to support investigations and reporting of inventory discrepancies. Review and investigate quality/inventory discrepancies. Perform quality audits for inbound and outbound operations Use system tools such as WMS, SAP, Q-pulse, Vista, and MS Office for analysis, investigation, and reporting. Operate Powered Industrial Truck Equipment as needed Must have a high school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution. Minimum of one year of work experience in a distribution, warehouse, and/or other material handling environment Minimum of one year of experience with SAP Must have basic computer skills (ex: printing, emailing). Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation benefits are being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Dallas, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Previous forklift and/or order picker equipment (MHE) operation experience. Previous experience with the following software's: Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS),Vista, Q-Pulse, Microsoft Office Suite Position Success Criteria: Ability to follow oral and written instructions Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to focus on tasks at hand. Must be able to lift 40+ lbs with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position. Must be able to work specific shift hours and have flexibility to work overtime based on customer demand. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must actively support team concepts and effectively communicate with team members.
