SUMMARY

We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our second shift team in a dynamic and growing $25M manufacturing company specializing in metal stamping and plastic injection molding. The ideal candidate will be quality-focused, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities and customer requirements. This role is critical in ensuring our products meet customer expectations and comply with internal and external quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality or manufacturing within a production environment
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 standards
  • Experience with auditing processes (internal or external)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficient in the use of common inspection tools and equipment
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate’s degree preferred

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and in-process audits to ensure compliance with: ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 standards; Control plans and Process FMEAs
  • Conduct basic part layout using precision measuring tools including: Calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gages, etc.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and prints to validate product conformance
  • Support implementation and maintenance of ISO requirements including: Document and record control, gage calibration and control, training records and documentation.
  • Write clear and concise process work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Work with production, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure that parts being produced match specification and customer requirements.
  • Assist in continuous improvement efforts, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
