KEY RESPONSIBILIITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Monitor the quality of product from all lines by patrol and inspection
  • Ensure that products from all lines are audited daily and any non-conformance is brought to the attention of the shift Supervisor/Manager and record action on the process to be taken to resolve the issue
  • Take a representative view of what is happening at any one point and report issues or non-conformances to the Supervisor/Manager and record on your audit report
  • Using the calibrated weight supplied by technical, check all scales being used on all lines to ensure that they are working correctly. Report any faults to the engineering department
  • Check the condition of measuring equipment on lines and report to the shift Supervisor/Manager any issues, e.g. damage
  • Check the quality of products against specifications, colour standards and the standard of workmanship
  • Report lack of adequate instructions on any of the lines – e.g Care Cards – to the Quality/Technical Manager
  • Report any issues occurring on your shift to the Quality/Technical Manager via the Technical Report Diary
  • Confirm that checks are being completed by the line QC operatives and that these checks are being undertaken and documented correctly
  • Ensure that Quality Assessments and Taste Panels are taking place to the agreed frequency
  • Whilst patrolling the site, any food safety issues must be raised with the shift Supervisor/Manager for corrective action
  • Ensure that discipline is maintained at all times with all members of staff and enforcing company rules
  • Ensure all employees follow safe working practices
  • Log any food safety issues, problems on your shift, or equipment that is required in the technical diary
  • Attend daily shift meetings with production Managers, Supervisors and Chargehands, raise all issues or non-conformances
  • Collect quality samples for customer requests as per the specification
  • Ensuring first production run samples are collected as per the customers QAS
Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective communication.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities as required.
  • Promote and participate in Food Safety Culture and GMP.
  • Perform any duties which are reasonably requested by a Manager
