Description
Holley, a leader in automotive aftermarket products, has an immediate opening for a 1st Shift Quality Technician at our Distribution Location in Bowling Green, KY. The Quality Tech is responsible for investigating internal/external quality issues and concerns. Starting pay is $17.78 with hourly pay progression.    Summary of Job Duties: * Supports all Operations Manager and Team Leader requests for support for quality issues or concerns, investigating and verifying quality-related issues on the production floor. * Ensures that all nonconforming materials are placed in review board holdings areas and follow all tracking and disposition requirements. * Writes corrective actions and leads the problem-solving teams regarding nonconforming materials. * Works directly with Engineering to resolve product issues negatively impacting the operation that could result in customer complaints. * Provides support to improve the Quality System through audits and other improvement activities. * Professionally interacts with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing departments, as well as vendors. * Inspects and determines disposition of incoming production parts. * Writes CMM programs and analyzes measurement data to communicate necessary changes to vendors and Engineering.   Job Skills and Knowledge: * Must be able to read and understand blueprints. * Must be comfortable working in individual and team-oriented environments. * Must be able to use basic and complex gauges. micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gages, etc.   Work Experience: * ASQ certification as a Certified Mechanical Inspector or Certified Quality Technician is strongly preferred. * A background in Quality Control relating to the automotive industry is preferred. * Setup experience is preferred.   Summary of Minimum Qualifications: * A high school diploma or GED is required; a two-year associate’s degree or relevant college credit is preferred. * CMM programming and operation experience is preferred but not required. * Experience with PC-DMIS software is preferred but not required. M-F 6am-2:30pm with occasional overtime.
Responsibilities
The Quality Technician investigates internal and external quality issues and ensures nonconforming materials are properly managed. They also collaborate with engineering and other departments to resolve product issues and improve the quality system.
