Description BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for assisting the Quality Manager with all aspects of Quality. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: · Performs in-process audits, i.e. Brinell audits, dock audits, documentation audits, door seal audits, suspended materials audits and temperature audits. · Requisitions all quality assurance supplies. · Resolves customer inquiries related to quality. · Ensures that all products are processed as prescribed, in accordance to customer specifications. · Responsible for the implementation, review, revisions and distribution of quality assurance procedures and policies. · Responsible for the cleanliness, orderly presentation and control of product in the holding/non-conforming area. · Adheres to IATF16949 procedures and requirements. · Assists the Quality Manager with special projects or assignments. · Directs and/or assists the furnace operators/inspectors, fork truck drivers, and maintenance department in their duties, when the need arises. · Performs daily, weekly, and monthly duties as assigned by Quality Manager. · Prepares tensile samples and ensure the samples are sent to the lab. · Administers gage R&R studies to heat treaters and data entry of R&R. · Performs a daily dock audit. · Completes thermal uniformity surveys which includes the following; setup of uniformities, adhering to schedule, yearly thermocouple replacement, data calculations, maintain online paper log to ensure compliance on specification. · Assists and maintains the disposition of CPR and CPR database. · Makes changes to procedures per Quality Manager direction. · Assists with preparation for audits, as directed by Quality Manager. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS / ABILITIES: · Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds. · Must be willing to work in a shared responsibility and group setting. · Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. · Must have forklift experience. · Must be capable of learning multiple tasks and willing to stay abreast of changes in tasks as well as learn new tasks. · Must be willing to work flexible shifts. · Computer experience required in Word and Excel. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: · High school education or GED. Related industrial experience.
