Quality Technicians also conduct inspections to ensure fire hydrants and water valve assemblies meet associated standards.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   * Establishes and maintains effective relationships with Managers, Supervisors and employees. * Maintain and update quality inspection records. * Inspect, test or measure products being produced. * Remove all products that fail to meet specifications. * Performs hourly quality checks in the machine shop along with checking hydrants and valves * Processes samples that may come in, works with engineering group to run new scanner and CMM * Assist maintenance as needed * Assist assembly and machine departments as needed * Performs quality checks, samples, quality process and procedural audits * Inspect parts received from various vendors to ensure quality of parts received * Work to resolve quality issues with vendors * Assist Water Products employees with any quality related questions * Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES   * Prefer experience to read blueprints, technical documents, drawings and diagrams * Prefer experience with Calipers, Micrometers, tape measure and other quality measurement tools * Must have experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Excellent decision-making skills * Excellent communication skills * Math skills     PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
