Description Quality Technician Job Title: Quality Technician Reports To: Director of Manufacturing Operations Summary: Perform first article, in-process, and other inspection of products, processes, and gauges per specifications. Essential Function: Conduct quality inspections on parts and materials Create process checklists and coordinate quality inspections Create documentation for quality issues and corrective actions Assist with identifying, labeling, and recording product locations to maintain organization Enter and update relevant information in ERP system Monitor and maintain company business management system (BMS) Assist with any other duties as assigned Requirements Basic Requirements: Advanced knowledge of sheet metal, tubing, and other materials Advanced knowledge of manufacturing practices and procedures Advanced knowledge of measuring equipment, including tape measure and caliper Understand detailed prints and manufacturing symbols Understand advanced measurement and angle conversions Advanced computer, written/verbal communication skills, and math skills Physical Exposure: Frequent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, and lifting Frequent lifting or moving of up to 50 lbs Fork truck traffic Sharp edges on materials Oils/solvents on materials The above statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the principal functions of the occupation and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the occupation.
