Job Description Title: Quality Technician Reports to: Quality & Safety Manager Job Purpose: Responsible for the final inspection of manufactured parts and providing support to the machinists throughout the inspection process. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Review customer contract requirements and compare to manufacturing documentation to ensure customer obligations are identified and met. Complete first article, in-process and final inspections on manufactured product to customer requirements utilizing calibrated equipment and document results per process Calibrate and maintain the precision measuring devices per defined work instructions and ensure that the calibration due dates for employee, customer provided, and/or company owned equipment are current Review and complete all documentation required for shipping of product to the customer, thus certifying that all requirements are met. Process non-conforming product and assist in determining root cause per standard work Assist in training fellow employees in order to further the development of the workforce Review customer specifications to establish correct inspection criteria Perform preventative maintenance on inspection equipment Completes all job-related paperwork and production reporting to accurately record time and attendance and inventory Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area using 6S guidelines and safety standards Completes internal 6S audits to schedule Complies with all safe practices, policies, and regulations Perform other duties as assigned or requested Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 4 years experience in Quality Control or Machining Knowledge of manufacturing methods and logistics administration required Experience with optical comparator and profilometer required Firsthand knowledge of blueprint reading, including an advanced understanding of GD&T and military specifications Lean manufacturing and quality system experience preferred (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485, and AS9100D preferred) CMM operation and troubleshooting skills are required; Zeiss Calypso preferred Experience with ERP and quality software interfaces preferred Basic computer knowledge and a strong math background Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in Microsoft Office Suite Team player who enjoys challenging situations Additional Information GTC Machining, LLC offers a drug-free workplace along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
