Description
We are looking for a talented Quality Technician – Level II to join our team specializing in Quality for our Cummins Inc. facility in Forest City, NC. Job Summary: Assists Engineers in carrying out production-related and inspection jobs; assists in monitor materials quality in processing plants and making the required adjustments; maintains and supports documentation and records. Works under moderate supervision. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: •  Ensure product quality and reliability by accurately comparing physical and functional characteristics of components and materials against technical specifications.  •  Strengthen defect identification processes by detecting nonconformities early and documenting findings with precision.  •  Improve product validation efforts by conducting simple electrical, reliability, and packaging tests that support informed engineering decisions.  •  Deliver clear, actionable insights through well organized test records and simple technical reports that support cross functional teams.  •  Enhance testing accuracy by using a variety of measurement tools and equipment to validate product and component performance.  •  Support customers and internal partners by helping them understand product specifications, measurement data, and how results impact product applications.  •  Contribute to continuous improvement of measurement practices by participating in measurement uncertainty studies that refine calibration and testing reliability.  •  Maintain testing integrity by ensuring proper upkeep, calibration, and readiness of all measurement and test equipment.
