COMPANY OVERVIEW:

We are a leading bread manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality baked goods. We are currently seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our quality team and ensure our products meet the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a food-related field (e.g. Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related discipline).
  • Experience in food manufacturing (preferably bakery or FMCG).
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety systems (e.g. BRC).
  • Hands-on approach with high attention to detail and process compliance.
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced production environment
Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain HACCP procedures across the site to ensure food safety compliance and support audit readiness.
  • Conduct routine quality checks on the production and packaging floor (e.g. weight, temperature, moisture, crust, packaging integrity).
  • Monitor CCPs and other control points, and escalate any deviations or trends immediately.
  • Walk the production and packaging site regularly to ensure hygiene, documentation, and processes are followed at every stage.
  • Verify cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, utensils, and production zones before and during operations.
  • Create and update product specifications, ensuring they are accurate and accessible for the production team.
  • Develop, implement, and improve SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) related to quality and food safety.
  • Ensure all paperwork and documentation (e.g. quality check sheets, traceability, cleaning records) are accurately completed and filed.
  • Collect raw material, in-process, and finished product samples for internal checks and external lab testing.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions in the event of quality issues.
  • Assist in internal audits and help maintain BRC and customer audit readiness through proper documentation and process controls.
  • Provide training to staff regarding quality standards, food safety, and hygiene.
  • Track and help improve site quality KPIs, such as customer complaints, non-conformances, and audit scores.
  • Promote a strong quality and food safety culture, acting as a role model and encouraging team accountability.
