Description
Title: Quality Tech The position of Quality Tech will be assisting the Quality Manager. They will check the quality of production items being made and items being shipped out. Duties: * Work safely at all times, be aware of surroundings and understand and comply with Pratt Industries Safety rules, operating procedures, and help hold co-workers responsible for safety related items. * Stop bad quality from leaving the facility to the Customer. Catch it on the front end of manufacturing the product. Strong attention to detail for poor quality; prevent bad quality being sent to customer. Learn and comply with Pratt Industries quality procedures and policies. * Check items being manufactured to confirm they meet defined specifications. * Check product prepared for shipment to confirm items names, quantities, labeling, lack of damage. * Accurately enter information on shipment into computer to ensure correct inventory transactions occur. * Superior time management skills and must be self driven and self motivated. * Excellent attendance is a must. * Follow at all times GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes) * Must have outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail is must. * Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions. * Ability to perform process audits * Multi-tasking: ability to work with various challenges and deal with a variety of situations * Ability to read, comprehend and interpret operating instructions, training and procedure manuals. * Excellent communication skills; able to speak effectively to employees, managers, * Excellent listening skills; ability to provide positive and corrective feedback * Data entry * Must be able to work overtime as necessary, sometimes on short notice. We serve our customers 24x7 – 365 days a year and sometimes work on holidays not avoidable. * Additional duties may be assigned by management. Requirements Computer literacy. High school graduate or equivalent with related college degree and/or technical courses or associate (two-year) college degree. Minimum of one years of experience in a related field. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. A majority of the work occurs in a non-temperature controlled environment.
