JOB DESCRIPTION

Quality Technician is primarily responsible for the grading of raw baby leaf lettuce, compliance with the swab and sampling programs, checking and grading product, ensuring GMP and HACCP standards are followed. The position is seasonal, from April to mid October.
Wage: $21.25/hour

SKILLS:

• Grade 12 diploma
• Experience in quality control is an asset
• Familiarity with the field of food, production and HACCP standards is an asset
• Training in the process and food quality technologies, laboratory techniques or any relevant training is an asset
• Basic knowledge of Word and Excel software
• Excellent communication skills with co-worker and supervisors (oral and written)
• Possibility of flexible schedule if necessary
• Good judgment
• Meticulous, keen eye and attentive to detail
• Quick learner, autonomous and proactive
• Team spirit
• Integrity and confidentiality of data

• Grading of raw baby leaf lettuce and other products
• Ensure compliance with the swab program
• Ensure compliance with the sampling program
• Provide quality equipment cleaning maintenance (as needed)
• Respect and confirm the quality standards
• Ensure the good quality and traceability of the finished product
• Check and grade received products (baby lettuce, vegetables, ingredients)
• Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP)
• Suggest improvements of work (updating of documents, ideas for improvement)
• Perform other related duties
