Description The Quality Technician is responsible for adhering to the Quality Management System which includes performing standardized quality checks on our materials and products to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality, maintaining calibrated test equipment, preparing test data, and performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Key Responsibilities · Performs evaluations and inspections to ensure goods and services comply with company standards as well as any customer requirements for specific product builds. · Utilizes measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, thread gages, etc. to evaluate product compliance · Uses drawings, blueprints and technical specification data to understand product characteristics and requirements · Develops and maintains appropriate company records that demonstrate conformance, identify failures and the necessary actions taken to resolve issues · Collaborates and partners with cross-functional departments within the organization to ensure that noncompliances and other Quality issues are handled correctly throughout the process · Maintains the company’s calibration system across all organizational departments · Supports evaluations of failure mode and corrective action analysis for in-process, supplier, and customer complaints. · Provides trend analysis for failures, corrective actions, inspection results and other metrics. Requirements Experience/Education • 3+ years’ experience in a quality inspection or technician role. • Must have Experience in Manufacturing environments • Preferably minimum 2-year degree. Will accept High School diploma along with commensurate work experience Skills/Qualifications • Must be able to read blueprints and other technical specifications • Possesses a good understanding of basic quality principles (pareto / statistical process controls and analysis, root cause investigation) • Can use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gages, etc.) • Manufacturing experience required in industrial applications • High-level of visual awareness. • Intermediate organizational skills. • Experience drafting reports and collating data. • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision. • Remains focused and collected in a fast-paced, high pressure, dynamic environment.
