Description

ESSENTIAL AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Engineering, Mechanical or Technical qualification Level 3 or above or demonstratable work history within a similar role preferably within an engineering / manufacturing environment
  • Previous knowledge of a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Email.
  • Ability to read basic engineering drawings, specifications, and associated paperwork.
  • Understanding of both Metric and Imperial measurements
  • Previous experience of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 is preferred but not essential
  • A background in Engineering and the use of recognised Quality tools is desirable

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

Tritech Group are manufacturing experts and suppliers of precision products to global Aerospace & Defence industry giants and to support our rapid growth we are recruiting for a range of positions across our UK facilities.
Reporting directly to the Quality Engineer, the role of the Quality Technician is required to be a proactive member of the team. Working with all departments to ensure the quality of products in accordance with customer requirement and product specification.
The role will require excellent verbal and written communication skills together with good interpersonal skills.
The employee will willingly undertake, upon request, any other task they are able to perform. Elements of the role may vary as new technology, procedures and equipment are introduced.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a sound awareness of the manufacturing and assembly processes and continually developing product knowledge
  • To be proactive as the first line of contact for resolving queries and has specific knowledge / details for QA work.
  • Maintain high levels of communication within the Quality team
  • Engage with internal/external audit activity.
  • Liaise with a range of internal people and external agencies in relation to gathering and distributing information for QA work, statistics, and meetings.
  • Support Quality department with accurate documentation and process information
  • Attend all learning and development opportunities provided by the company
  • Understand and develop Company Operating Procedures, including the monitoring of key performance indicators
    To be competent in the use of MS Office and in-house client databases
