Description
Description The Quality Technician is responsible for a broad range of quality control activities. In this role you will perform functions such as various receiving inspections, in-process inspections, verification of completed paperwork, identifying non-conformance issues, final product inspection and checking dimensions of production detail parts and assemblies using hand tools such as calipers, scales, micrometers, and height gauge. What You Will Do: Follow all established quality management system procedures and work instructions Inspect and accept electronic and/or mechanical hardware referencing quality control standards, workmanship and drawing specifications by checking such items as parts, wires, solder joints and terminals through the use of appropriate inspection devices. Inspect and reject for tests or rework or otherwise approves hardware as acceptable. Inspect for acceptance, all types and series of hardware to determine that build, rework, modification and repairs conform to contractual/drawing requirements. Ensure procedures and work instructions are followed, resolving quality-related issues with internal customers Generate required reports, perform verifications, tracking of data, and recommendation of process improvements Verify incoming product to ensure purchase orders and customer requirements are met Verify assemblies meet all customer requirements Ensure that instruments used for product acceptance are in calibration prior to use Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances per established procedures Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports Approve the discarding or rejection of products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent 1+ years’ experience working in production assembly Knowledge of general quality control practices Ability to understand customer specifications and requirements and read blueprints and schematics Ability to manage and execute on multiple priorities Attention to detail, good time management skills, with a sense of urgency and a quality mindset Desire to work in a fast-paced environment What is Nice to Have: 1+ year experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook 6+ months using a forklift with certification
