For this role specifically, we are seeking individuals to help support high-impact, civic tech within the federal government.
As an integral part of the program, the Quality/Test Engineer supports with implementation of quality assurance techniques and tools within a program. Supports with reviews code and product throughout the software development lifecycle. Works with development team to ensure that defects are identified, recorded, and properly triaged.
Client Requirements: applicants MUST BE US Citizens and be able to obtain Public Trust clearance

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 4 years of experience
  • Must be able to get up-to-speed quickly on new projects and technologies
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

  • People Management Experience
  • Experience with automated Accessibility-testing tools
  • Good understanding of HTML, Web Accessibility and Section 508 requirements
  • 508 Certified Tester
Responsibilities
  • Implement quality assurance techniques and tools
  • Reviews code and product throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Ensure defects are identified, recorded, and properly triaged
  • Responsible for working with stakeholders to drive quality throughout the entire SDLC process by ensuring that all code meets quality standards, all code is built and tested in non-production environments before promotion to Production environments and that testing is automated so that every commit is tested without intervention.
  • Responsible for collaborating with other QE’s to handle cross-team testing dependencies
