Spectrolab, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company’s Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) business unit has an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Mid-Level Quality Test Specialist to join our dynamic team in Sylmar, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience using power measurement test and measurement instrumentation
  • Experience with electronics troubleshooting, repair, and schematics
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. during a shift

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Basic understanding of electricity and/or electronics
  • Ambient pressure thermal test experience
  • Experience using Automated Test Equipment
Responsibilities
  • Interfaces with engineers, peers, group leaders, for direction, collaboration, approval, and identifying requirements to resolve design, manufacturing, and related process problems
  • Troubleshoots and resolves test-related problems
  • Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
  • Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes
  • Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans
  • Ability to apply basic knowledge of electronics design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of electronics components and systems
  • Assists with the development or improvement of inspection or test techniques
  • Assists in the design and creation of test coupons to validate equipment or determine product acceptance
  • Follows documented procedures to set up and calibrate specialized test or measurement equipment
  • Assists in the documentation of procedures for setting up and calibrating test equipment
  • Follows documented procedures to perform tests or inspections and collects data for evaluation of process equipment, software, solutions, products or materials
  • Analyzes routine test, inspection or statistical data to determine product and processes conformity or assists with standard corrective action recommendations
  • Elevates anomalous results as required
  • Documents and communicates standard test, analysis or measurement results to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
