ABOUT THE JOB

Merryfield Investment Management, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Quantitative Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis of market trends and data to help inform our investment decisions. You will utilize your strong quantitative and analytical skills to provide insights that drive performance and enhance our clients’ portfolios.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Quantitative Analyst, preferably in the investment management industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in statistics, econometrics, and programming languages such as SAS, R, Python, or MATLAB.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex quantitative concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of financial markets and investment products, with a deep understanding of risk management principles.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• CFA or FRM certification is a plus.

• Develop, maintain and enhance quantitative models and tools for analyzing investment opportunities and tracking portfolio performance.
• Conduct extensive research and analysis of market trends, economic indicators, and company financial data.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers to identify investment opportunities and make data-driven investment decisions.
• Perform statistical and data analysis to identify investment trends and opportunities within various market sectors.
• Monitor and evaluate risk metrics, including value-at-risk, stress testing, and exposure analysis, to ensure effective portfolio management.
• Utilize programming skills to develop and automate data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
• Present findings and insights to the investment team and assist in the formulation and implementation of investment strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve our quantitative processes.
