Are you driven by data and fascinated by the inner workings of financial markets? TMX Group is seeking a highly motivated and inquisitive Quantitative Analyst to join our dynamic Equity Product Design team. In this role, you will dive deep into our vast and unique datasets to uncover trends, analyze market behaviour, and generate insights that inform strategic decisions and product development. You will oversee weekly market share investigations, and collaborate with the Product and CRM teams on remediation of any market share slippage.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Analyze large, complex datasets related to trading activity, order flow, and market data using Python and SQL .
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance analytical scripts and tools to monitor market quality and investigate trading patterns.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research projects to answer critical questions from internal business units, regulators, and clients.
  • Own the investigation into any overall market share deviations, in order to determine drivers and suggest remediation processes.
  • Create clear and compelling data visualizations, reports, and presentations to share your findings with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product, technology, and business development teams to support the creation of new data-driven products and services.
  • Continuously learn and stay current with market trends, academic research, and new analytical techniques.
