Responsibilities

WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE

The Quantitative Engineering & Development (QED) team is a fully remote team within Revantage that builds brand-new, cutting-edge technology tools and models for the management, analysis, and valuation of Blackstone’s real estate investments.
The Quantitative Developer will help with the implementation of efficiency-improving solutions for the monthly valuation of commercial mortgage loans.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience
  • The candidate should have a strong background and familiarity with at least one type of real estate equity and/or debt investment, such as REITs, CMBS, RMBS, and/or whole loan trading
  • This position requires candidates to have three main pillars of professional skill:

    1. Writing code in an object-oriented coding language


      1. Manipulating various type of database data using SQL


        1. Working with complex Excel workbooks

        • The main object-oriented coding language used in this position is C#, however experience with Java/C++/Python and a willingness to learn C# is acceptable
        • Database data is primarily housed within Microsoft SQL databases, though some data is found in Snowflake data warehouses. Being a strong user of either T-SQL, Oracle SQL, or Snowflake SQL is required, though the candidate must be willing to primarily use Microsoft T-SQL

        Preferred:

        • A college degree or higher in a STEM field
        • Master’s degrees and PhD-holders welcome but not required
        • Candidates with a combination of strong technology skills and deep finance knowledge
        • Any experience with web development would be favored but is not required

        Base Compensation Range:
        $125,000.00 To $170,000.00. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company’s base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
        Total Direct Compensation: This job is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
