Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost estimations, efficient project planning, and effective contract administration for various construction projects. Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. Develop and analyze bills of quantities for tender documentation. Review and evaluate tender submissions from contractors. Assist in the preparation of contract documents and procurement strategies. Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs. Collaborate with design teams to ensure cost-effective solutions. Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to achieve favorable terms. Undertake quantity measurement for inclusion in cost plans, estimates, and bills of quantities. Implement, maintain, and monitor cost control procedures throughout the project lifecycle. Provide input and support in the preparation and assessment of financial claims. Evaluate variations, additions, and omissions, and incorporate findings into monthly cost reports. Prepare, process, and negotiate change orders with clients and contractors. Conduct market testing and analyze tender returns to support rate benchmarking. Update and maintain the cost database for future reference. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification from a recognized quantity surveying body (e.g., RICS) is advantageous. Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying. Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. In-depth knowledge of project costing and budgeting. Experience in preparing tender documents and contract administration. Familiarity with construction contracts and procurement processes. Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards in the UAE. Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams.
