Position: Quantity Surveyor Engineer
Location: United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Industry: Steel & Aluminium Fabrication | Tents & Tensile Shade Structures | Civil & Structural Construction
Salary: AED 2,000 – 3,500/month
Experience Required: 1-3 years in QS in steel/tensile/fabrication industries

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
• Experience: Hands-on experience in quantity surveying preferably in structural steel and tensile projects.
• Attestation: Educational certificates should be attested by MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

CORE SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and quotations.
• Evaluate tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare competitive bids.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for price quotations and negotiations.
• Monitor project budgets and control costs during execution.
• Assist in contract preparation and variations.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities.
• Prepare cost and material reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety requirements.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel, Word), and Quantity Surveying software.
• Knowledge of construction drawings, BOQ preparation, and tendering process.
• Familiarity with structural steel and fabric materials is an advantage.

SOFT SKILLS:

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Team player with a proactive approach.
