Description
To manage and execute Quantity Surveying activities for MEP projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation, cost control, and timely reporting in line with project requirements. Key Responsibilities: 1. Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and rate analysis for MEP works. 2. Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. 3. Monitor project costs and assist in budget control to ensure projects remain within approved budgets. 4. Prepare variation orders, claims, and cost reports as required. 5. Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Procurement for smooth workflow. 6. Review MEP contracts and tender documents to ensure compliance with project specifications. 7. Assist in preparation of monthly cost reports and project financial forecasting. 8. Maintain records of all project-related documents, correspondence, and approvals. Qualifications & Experience: * Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in MEP projects. * Strong knowledge of cost estimating, contract management, and construction procedures. * Proficiency in relevant software (AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, or similar). Skills & Competencies: * Analytical and numerical skills for accurate cost assessment. * Excellent communication and coordination abilities. * Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. * Knowledge of local construction standards, codes, and MEP systems. Reporting & Collaboration: * Reports to Senior QS / Project Manager. * Works closely with Project Engineers, Procurement, and Contracts teams.
