VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: QUANTITY SURVEYOR Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and experienced, committed individual for the position of Quantity Surveyor to join the versatile Maintenance team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick's DNA by: Communicating Honestly, Transparently, and Acting with Integrity Exhibiting a Results-Driven approach Delivering solutions that are Fit for Purpose Dedicating themselves to Building a Sustainable Legacy Taking Responsibility and being Accountable Committing to Zero Harm Cultivating strong and meaningful Partnerships Reporting to the Superintendent Projects, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial and contractual management of the project from construction through to final account, ensuring effective cost control and contract administration. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Measure and value construction works from drawings and site records Prepare and manage project budgets and cost reports Administer contracts and manage variations and change control Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and cash flow forecasts Monitor site costs and report on commercial performance Assist with claims, final accounts, and project close-out Liaise with site management, contractors, consultants, and the client Maintain accurate commercial records and site documentation To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements: Grade 12 Certificate. Minimum Diploma in Quantity Surveying Minimum 6 years relevant construction industry experience Experience on site-based projects is essential Knowledge of standard forms of contract (FIDIC or rother acceptable) Professional registration or working towards registration is an advantage.
