Responsibilities

YOUR NEW ROLE

Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Quantity Surveyor with experience in design and fit-out projects to join their team in Manchester. You will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of projects from inception to completion, ensuring the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and to resolve any issues that may arise. RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Managing the financial aspects of design and fit-out projects, ensuring they are completed within the agreed budget.
  • Preparing cost estimates, tender documentation, and contracts for clients and suppliers.
  • Conducting site visits to assess project progress, ensuring costs are being controlled.
  • Identifying and managing project risks, advising on potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Valuing completed work and arranging for payments to be made.
  • Reviewing and analyzing project costs, preparing regular financial reports for senior management.
  • Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Managing change orders and contract variations.
  • Supporting project managers in contract administration and project delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legal, financial, and quality standards.
