We are a leading Social Housing Contractor seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our dedicated commercial team based in Tottenham. Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management and cost control of multiple social housing projects - from initial award through to final account. You’ll ensure commercial success by providing timely and accurate cost reporting, managing subcontractor procurement, and negotiating effectively with clients and supply chain partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing the commercial performance of allocated projects, including CVRs, forecasts, and final accounts
  • Overseeing financial documentation in line with internal reporting schedules
  • Supporting procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers in conjunction with the Procurement Team
  • Handling variations, loss and expense claims, and re-measurements to ensure optimal financial outcomes
  • Communicating project progress to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing or a similar construction environment
  • Strong knowledge of measurement, valuation, and cost control processes
  • Excellent understanding of budget management, CVRs, and financial forecasting
  • Experience with responsive, cyclical, and planned maintenance projects
  • Proficiency with relevant IT systems and software packages
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
