JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost estimation, cost control, contract administration, and project management. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of our construction projects within budget and on time.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Degree preferred)
· Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
· Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation, contract administration, and project management principles
· Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
· Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
· Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and lead a team

· Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs
· Conduct thorough cost analysis and value engineering exercises to optimize project budgets
· Review and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and project specifications
· Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing corrective actions
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to assess project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions
· Prepare and present regular progress reports and financial updates to senior management and stakeholders
· Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and resolve any quantity-related issues
· Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying
