Join our dedicated team where we provide specialist Quantity Surveying, in the Design and Construction of High Voltage Transmission and Distribution Assets for the Networks Business.
The Quantity Surveyor role will cover all aspects of quantity surveying from project inception through to completion. This includes cost, contract and commercial risk management for our full range of civil engineering projects, related to infrastructure development in the power industry. The role involves close liaison with other design professionals, our partners across ESB and contractors. A key requirement of this role is to enhance the visibility of the Quantity Surveying function across ESB, while maintaining standards, developing staff and enhancing stakeholder management.

We are looking for the following skills.

Responsibilities
  • Cost management function throughout all phases of a project
  • Preparation of Order of Magnitude Costs
  • Preparation of tender documentation
  • Liaison with Procurement and Project Delivery.
  • Tender assessment and evaluation
  • Post Contract Commercial Management and Cost Reporting
  • Promoting and playing an active role in the safety management culture across all activities by taking ownership and demonstrating visible commitment to safety.
  • Mentor and provide technical support to help in the development of junior staff.
